Privacy
The Writing Circle is a public directory of writing groups, with a shop of Stewart Ferris’s books. It does not ask you to create an account.
What stays on your device
Groups you bookmark are saved in this browser only (local storage). They are not sent to us. Clearing site data, or using another device, will clear them.
The optional “near me” search uses your browser’s location to rank nearby groups. The coordinates are used for that search in the page and are not stored on a server.
What we count
The small visit figure on the home page is a running total of home-page loads. It is not tied to your name, email or a profile.
Community suggestions for new groups are stored as public catalogue information. Please do not include personal details about other people in a suggestion.
Advertising and Amazon
Google AdSense may show ads and set cookies to measure or personalise them, according to Google’s privacy policy.
Shop links go to Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon may collect information when you follow those links, under Amazon’s privacy notice.
